Apricity Artworks was created for people who want more than just a night out.
It’s for anyone who’s craving connection, creativity, and a place that feels easy to walk into, even if you come alone.
How It Started
I moved to Florida in 2018. On paper, everything looked great: a growing business, a new city, sunshine, momentum. But socially, something was missing.
Like a lot of adults, I assumed I’d meet people naturally over time. And while St. Pete is full of art shows, markets, and creative energy, I kept finding myself inspired… but not really connected.
Years passed. COVID happened. Life stayed full, but friendships didn’t magically appear.
At some point, my mom and I started talking about it, how much we both loved creating, and how rare it felt to do it just for the joy of it anymore. Not for work. Not for perfection. Just for the feeling of being in flow.
That’s when the idea clicked.
What if there was a space where adults could show up, create together, and let connection happen naturally?
What Makes Apricity Different
Apricity Artworks isn’t a paint factory. And it’s not an intimidating art studio either.
Our experiences are:
Intentionally small (capped at 12 people) so it feels personal, not crowded
Guided enough that you don’t feel lost or intimidated
Flexible enough that your piece still feels like you
Welcoming to beginners- no art background required
You don’t need to be “artsy.” You don’t need to know what you’re doing. You just need to show up.
More Than Art Nights
What started as creative sessions quickly became something more.
People talk. They laugh. They help each other. They come back. Friendships form- quietly, organically, without pressure.
And yes, I’ll say it: I built this space for me too.
I wanted a reason to meet people that didn’t feel forced. A place where being creative makes conversation easier. A space that feels warm, grown-up, and human.

Apricity Artworks is run by a mother–daughter artist team Kiralee & and Kim. Between us, we teach all sessions and work in multiple mediums, which shapes how we guide: practical instruction, real technique, and a process that’s easy to follow without feeling rigid. Each experience is structured enough that beginners feel confident, with enough flexibility built in so every finished piece still feels personal.
